DO you believe enough to act?

The decisions we regret most are rarely the ones we made, but the chances we didn’t take. Regret often comes from ruminating on opportunities we didn’t fully pursue or maximize. Perhaps it was a relationship that we let go too soon, a career change that we didn’t take, or not believing that we could achieve the very goal and dream that we had in mind.
Wherever you find yourself now, I want you to listen to what lies dormant within your soul and within your heart that is calling you to take a leap of faith. Is it fear that is inhibiting you from taking action? Is it how you think you might be perceived by others that is limiting you from taking action?
Acknowledge right now what that thing is that is stopping you from walking into the unknown and daring to push the boundaries of your current circumstances.
As you begin to acknowledge that limiting factor or limiting belief, you will start to see that part of that belief is tied to a faulty thought pattern. Faulty thinking is often referred to as cognitive distortions, whereby irrational, inaccurate, or exaggerated thinking clouds one’s judgment and reality. This can lead to negative cyclical patterns such as all-or-nothing thinking, overgeneralization, discounting the positives, or catastrophizing. Therefore, it is essential to get clear and align one’s thoughts with what they hope to achieve.
Oftentimes, this is easier said than done. However, know this: if God has given you a vision, He planted that vision in your heart for a reason. Your vision serves not only yourself but also has the ability to empower and inspire those around you. Decide today, no matter how small the action, to take one step in the direction of that vision. I don’t care how long you’ve had that vision—if you keep it alive and work toward it, it will come to fruition. But do you believe? If you do, let some form of action follow that belief.
This is the moment to decide whether you believe enough to act on the dream God planted in your heart. Your job is simply to plant the seed and allow God to do the rest. As always, stay blessed and continue pressing forward.
